FilmIns is the entertainment insurance segment of Frankel & Associates Insurance Services. Based in Los Angeles, California, the company needed to promote its full line of entertainment insurance products. An optimized website would have been enough to promote FilmIns’s insurance products.
But an insurance convention in Hollywood presented a very good opportunity for FilmIns to promote its line of insurance products, which is not limited to all-risk insurance programs for movie / film productions. FilmIns also has all-risk insurance programs for special events, sporting events, festivals and trade shows, and concerts and productions. It also has special insurance programs for venues, weather coverage and artists liability.
Wet Sand’s Animated Presentation
The challenging thing about creating a presentation for FilmIns was in squeezing as much information on the company without compromising the material’s ability to hold its audiences attention. This meant the animated presentation for FilmIns was to be no more than five minutes.
Considering that the material was to be used in a Hollywood insurance convention, where an audience at any one time is composed of Hollywood producers and insurance agents, the presentation had to be equally informative and entertaining.
Thankfully, FilmIns had enough footage material that Wet Sand could work on. The challenge was in creating a wonderful storyboard that would produce a presentation worthy of a Hollywood nod.
FilmIns and Wet Sand decided to make the presentation simple and excluded the company’s history in the story. What the presentation focused on was all benefits, and more benefits. The company’s Unique Selling Proposition was that the premiums on its insurance programs were cheap. Producers can also order an insurance program online through credit cards, and they can be issued insurance certificates online.
The efforts for the animated presentation actually went into highlighting all these benefits. Wet Sand rotoscoped FilmIns’s footage to create a 3-D presentation that generated a lot of interest on the company at the Hollywood insurance convention.
